"Special Geometries in Mathematical Physics"

Travel Information:

Note that Kühlungsborn is a one-dimensional village - it has two parts (East and West) related by a long main street following the sea side ("Ostseeallee"). The conference site is in the Eastern part ("Kühlungsborn Ost"), next to the "Seebrücke". The full adress is:

Tagungs- und Ferienhotel "Haus am Meer", Ostseeallee 5, 18225 Kühlungsborn. Phone: + 49 382 93 / 407 - 0, Fax: - 29.

Hotel Strandperle, Ostseeallee 4, 18225 Kühlungsborn. Phone: + 49 382 93 / 879 - 0, Fax: - 1.

The next largest town in the vicinity of Kühlungsborn ist Rostock (about 30 km).

Coming by car: This is the easiest. When coming from Berlin, follow the A 19 until "Autobahnkreuz Rostock". Here you switch to the A 20 direction Lübeck until exit 13 "Bad Doberan". Then follow the signs to Kühlungsborn; when in town, follow "Ostseeallee / Seebrücke". Usually, the trip Berlin-Kühlungsborn takes not more than 2,5 hours. When coming from Hamburg, take the A 20 until exit 12 "Kröpelin / Kühlungsborn" - than continue as above.

Coming by train: Either Deutsche Bundesbahn www.fahrplanauskunft.de OR by a private train (tickets can purchased in the train or by phone), which run once a day: www.interconnex.info.

From Rostock's main station, there is a Regional Express which takes you in 30 minutes to Bad Doberan. From there, we will try to organize a shuttle to Kühlungsborn (of course, a taxi will do, too). If you like historical trains, don't miss the opportunity to take the historical steam powered train "Molli" (Schmalspurbahn) to the station "Kühlungsborn Ost" (it needs 30 minutes for this distance too). From the station, it's a 10 minutes walk to the conference site. (Train table)

Coming by plane: Rostock has an Airport called "Rostock-Laage", with direct flights to:
